Q: Can I download the textbooks to my computer or mobile device such as my IPad or IPhone & read offline?
A:  Yes

Q. How is PDF better than taking the courses "Online"?
A. You are able to read at your own speed, stop and start, back up to review, etc.
 You do not have to be Online at all times!  A PDF course allows you to download and read the materials in Adobe's PDF format. - (Our 180 hour Prelicense and 98 hour SAE courses are not printable)

Q. Does the PDF version have a keyword searchable database?
A. Yes! 

  • The Keyword Searchable Database is Invaluable. You simply type in the keywords such as "encroachments" or "implied agreements" and instead of having to go page by page to find the relevant and corresponding information, the database will bring up all the pages to choose from that include that keyword. 
  • This will literally save you hours of time trying to find the pertinent information. It is especially helpful during the course quizzes and exams and you need to access a particular topic/question quickly.

  • ****ON THE PDF FAQ'S PAGE, INSTRUCT TO OPEN THE PDFS IN PREVIEW FORMAT TO BE ABLE TO ACCESS TO THE SEARCHABLE DATABASE. USUALLY, YOU CAN RIGHT CLICK THE FILE AND GO TO "OPEN IN PREVIEW FORMAT"

Q: Do I have to be connected to the Internet the whole time? Are your quizzes online?
A: No, You can download the materials to your desktop, laptop, ipad or nook and after reading the material offline, you can login and take the quizzes online

Q. Can I start Immediately?
A. Yes No need to wait 1-2 weeks for textbooks to be mailed to you

Q. What are the main advantages of PDF?
A. Having the textbooks in downloadable PDF format makes it much more convenient; you can access them any time, anywhere on your computer, laptop or tablet and do not have to be online to access them after the initial download. Plus the searchable database is invaluable.

Q. Since I won't be getting textbooks, can I print out the info for future reference?
No. Not all of our courses are printable

Q Can I take the State exam online?
A No, You can take our quizzes online, but the TREC State test must be taken in person at one of the locations and times published by TREC. 

Q: How long do I have to complete the courses?
A: You have up to 6 months to complete the entire course

Q: Can I download the textbooks to my computer or mobile device such as my IPad or IPhone & read offline?

REVISED DEADLINES FOR QUALIFYING COURSES



Recall that the deadline for revisions to the standards for design and delivery of qualifying courses delivered in the classroom was December 31, 2016.  The deadline for revisions to qualifying courses delivered by distance education was set for March 31, 2017.



In order to provide some relief to all qualifying course providers, the Commission will NOT enforce the design and delivery requirements for a period of five months after the applicable deadlines. This means that all providers have until May 31, 2017 to bring classroom courses into compliance and August 31, 2017 for distance education coursesThis deadline extension does NOT affect the requirement to update the content of any qualifying course to meet TREC guidelines.
